The article which is written by Tony Thompson, Poul Harris and Adam Blenford is about youth gangs and the Damilola tragedy.
On November 2000 a 10-year-old boy named Damilola is on his way home from school, but someone stabs him in his leg. He bleeds to death in a filthy Peckham stairwell of the North Peckham estate in South east London.
Afterwards operation Seale, which involves 120 police officers, have to solve the killing of Damilola. They find out that it is someone in a street gang who killed Damilola. The police have underestimated these new kinds of teenagers and the police approach has been wrong from the beginning. These youths who killed Damilola are aggressive and they don't care about anybody else but themselves and have no fear and thinks the police are their enemy. Mostly these youths in street...
